The light rail team had busy mornings over two days, first at the bustling markets and out again later in the week at the town centre. We enjoyed conversations with locals eager to learn more about the project and how they can participate.

Many people we spoke with have children at Auckland University and recognised that the 30 minute travel time to a city universities stop that the Light Rail project offers would be a game changer for students. Some parents spoke about journeys of up to 1 hour 40 minutes each way that their children currently take.
